Sea Villas at Lutsen
The need to get on the road early allowed us to appreciate a beautiful Lake Superior sunrise. We enjoyed a long weekend on the north shore with Brenda and my parents.

Forth Grade
Lily was “exhilarated” by the thought of starting grade 4 with her friends from CVA. Even a rainy morning and a late bus couldn’t dampen her spirits!

X-ray week for Lily
Lily’s having a growth spurt so her doc did a bone age x-ray last Wednesday (normal) Then she slammed her hand in the basement door on Saturday and today we had to x-ray the same hand again! Weird, right?! She doesn’t have any obvious fractures but needs to wear the splint just in case.

Start of 8th grade!

Lily on Stage!
Lily recently completed the Twin Cities Theater Camp(!) production of Urinetown. She had a great time! Her character’s name was Emily Ocean. It’s an intensive 5 week program, and Lily missed over a week of it due to our summer vacation, but she rallied and was a big presence on stage for the performances!

Boy, we easily forget!
This may be on McSweeney’s, but it’s a great history lesson on US depredations in Latin America. Yup, we owe these people at the border. Big time.
