Bike Specs

I’ll use this spot to capture the current 3 season + winter config for my one-bike-to-rule-them-all.

Clear-conditions Bike
Frameset: Velo Orange Piolet. Size L, which is a little larger than “standard” sizing by today’s norm, by the Grant Peterson model.
Headset: Vo Grand Gru
Brakes: Avid BB7 Road, with Avid road levers.
Bars: Salsa Cowbell 3
Stem: No-name 110mm-5deg
Saddle: Selle An-atomica Titanico
Seatpost: Synchros with built-in collar
Crankset & Bottom Bracket: Origin8 single ring 170mm cranks.  Shimano spindle BB-UN55 square taper.
Fenders: Planet Bike Cascadia 29er. Contributes to the all-weather-ness of the bike.
Rear Rack: Axiom 20er Streamline rack.
Wheels: 700c Mavic A317 rims laced to DT Swiss 350 Disc hubs. I love these hubs. They are cartridge bearing and should last a really long time (assuming I service them every 1k mi or so).
Cassette: Shimano XT 12-32
Derailleure: Shimano XT med cage
Front chain ring: Salsa 36T with a Paul Chain Keeper
Shifter is a Shimano barcon mounted to a Paul Thumbie, set up under the right brake hood.  Basically brighter convenience for much greater reliability.

Tires: Schwalbe Super Moto 29ers

Winter (This is the “snow and ice” config)

Framed MN1.0.  Stock, save for shorter bars, BB7 brake upgrade, fenders, and a Planet Bike Versarack. I’ve made a bunch of notes about the Framed here.
